Drive & Handling
The 2021 GLE 350 4MATIC SUV comes equipped with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission with shift paddles. First, a standard 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine provides ample power for high-speed cruising and inner-city maneuvers with up to 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. On the next-level GLE 450 and 450 4MATIC SUV, a direct-injection 3.0-liter V6 produces as much as 329 hp, and its 369 lb-ft of torque is strong enough to tow up to 7,200 lbs. In addition, this light SUV achieves car-like fuel efficiency with an EPA-estimated 23 mpg highway and 17 mpg city.** For those who want truly heart-pounding performance, the GLE 580 4MATIC SUV is capable of an astonishing 483 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.
If you want sports car performance from your SUV, the AMG models might be for you. The AMG GLE 53 is capable of up to 429 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. For the truly manic, the AMG GLE 63 produces up to 603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque.

Top-of-the-Line Safety
